About The Chapter

Girls for Girls Tanzania (G4G Tanzania) was officially launched on May 6, 2023, and began its operations the same day with the inaugural cohort. Currently, G4G Tanzania runs both virtual and in-person mentorship cohort sessions across all regions of the country, reaching both rural and urban areas. The initiative works with girls aged 12-18 and young women up to the age of 35. With 15 mentors on the team, G4G Tanzania has so far collaborated with multiple girls and women, including heads of programs from various NGOs, female football players from the Fountain Gate Princesses team, first-time mothers, and university students.
Through the four initial cohorts, G4G Tanzania has seen remarkable progress among the mentees who have participated in the program. Many have grown in confidence, seen their work gain more visibility, and enhanced their professional skills. Most importantly, they have transformed into strong, visionary leaders, standing firm in pursuit of their dreams while inspiring others to join the movement. These women and girls have become catalysts for positive change in their communities, which has led to increased opportunities, such as promotions, career advancements, and business expansion. G4G Tanzania has created a network of women leaders, offering them a safe space to uplift each other and collaborate in seizing various leadership opportunities. This achievement has fostered a supportive community where women are empowered to thrive and excel in leadership roles.

The Corporate Cohorts initiative under Project Girls for Girls (G4G) Tanzania focuses on empowering women in professional settings. These cohorts provide tailored mentorship programs designed to build leadership skills, boost confidence, and foster career growth. By creating safe spaces for networking and personal development, the Corporate Cohorts aim to prepare women to excel in corporate environments while inspiring them to lead and drive positive change in their workplaces and communities. This initiative reflects G4G Tanzania’s commitment to empowering women across all sectors and levels of society.
In 2025, we are targeting to reach 1500 mentees from all around Tanzania.

As a mentor for Girls 4 Girls (G4G) Tanzania, I am proud to be part of a movement that empowers young women to step into leadership roles and create positive change in their communities. G4G is like that inner voice that nudges you when you’re unsure, and once you act on it, everything transforms for the better. It has a powerful effect that, when embraced, creates lasting change, making the world safer and brighter for girls and women.

Through mentorship, we guide and inspire these women to unlock their potential, build confidence, and face challenges with resilience. G4G is more than just a program—it’s a sisterhood shaping the future of female leadership in Tanzania. Joining G4G has been one of the most impactful decisions I’ve made. As someone passionate about leadership, public speaking, and making a difference, G4G aligns perfectly with my purpose. It speaks to my core values as a woman striving for a brighter future, and it’s deeply fulfilling.

My favorite part is how practical the program is. G4G provides an incredible platform where women learn essential skills like public speaking and leadership, helping them conquer their fears. Everything is always well-organized, and what makes it even more exciting is the positive energy from the mentors. They inspire us to keep growing and reach our fullest potential. This experience has truly shaped my leadership journey, and I’m proud to be part of it.
